Hello Rod and Terry,
1. Major confusion about the Horizontal actuators.
        A. The actuators have MTS type labels that read X1,Y2,Y3
and X4.
        B. The cables are marked Horizontal 1, Horizontal 2, H3 and
H4. 1 and 2 are the shortest while 4 is the longest.
        C. The console drawings are for X1,X2,Y1,and Y2 in that
order.
        D. Further, Horizontal actuator marked X1 has a white tape
label that is marked 2. Y2's white tape label is marked 4, while Y3's
label is marked 3 and X4 doesn't have a white tape label that I could
find so I assume it would be 1 if it had one.
        E. The hydraulics guys put the actuators in so X1 is at the
Z1 corner ( i.e. sitting in the control room it is the near side one on
the right and pushes away from the control room ). Y2 is near left and
pushes to the right when looking from the control room. Y3 is on the
far side left and pushes toward the control room. X4 is on the far side
right and pushes to the left when looking from the control room.
2. Given that X1 and X4 are not in the same axis, obviously the
labels are incorrect. The questions are:
        A. If the pressure test tomorrow is successful, the hoses
will be attached to the actuators. Which ones should go where? Are the
numbers on the MTS type labels correct? If yes, the actuators are in
the correct place. If not, then are the white tape type labels correct,
if yes, 3 actuators must be moved.
        B. The cables only work going 1,2,3,4 clockwise with 1 at
the Z1 corner. So no questions about cable layout as the cables can't be
changed.
        C. Which electronics should be connected to H1,H2,H3,and H4
cables?
3. Please fax to Tom Miller at the Roynet Hotel by 3:30 PM your
time the answers as it is less wasted work if the actuators must be
moved, if they are moved before hose installation.
4. Terry, Tom needs 3 Actuator LVDT connectors. The connector
portion mounted on the actuator. Please bring them when you come.
5. Also, please bring actuator labels marked X1,X2,Y1 and Y2. The
current ones must be changed even if the actuators are in the correct
positions.
6. There is cable on site that Tom thinks will work. By the time the
cable shortfall was noted, it was too late to get it to the site.
In advance, Thanks for a quick response to Tom. Please fax the response
as Tom won't be checking E Mail tomorrow morning.
Omar
